The federal government has bought $600,000 worth of bottled water over the last two years for staff working in a pair of buildings where the water is contaminated with lead. Although employees at the federal government buildings located in Gatineau, Que. were told the problem would be fixed three weeks ago, it's now slated for the end of December.
The Public Works Department, which holds a lease-to-own agreement on the buildings, hired a company in June for a $1.2-million contract to make the repairs and replace the water fountain pipe systems. Read More..........
